Who am I

I'm a Senior UX/UI Designer and lifelong learner. I’ve spent over 20 years working on digital experiences that connect users to products. But beyond the pixels and prototypes, my story is deeply personal, shaped by resilience, curiosity, and an unwavering commitment to growth.

The Early Years: Std &Teacher

As an undergraduate student in my second year, I began a career in teaching a foreign language, Greek, to adult British students through City & Guilds. Teaching cultivated my deep empathy—a cornerstone of my approach to design.

UX Transition

After postgraduating in Computing from the University of Kent at Canterbury, fascinated by the emerging digital world, I transitioned to web design. My journey into UX/UI began as I realised that effective design is about usability, accessibility, and creating experiences that truly serve each and every user.

Freelancing

Having spent a considerable amount of time working and gaining experience on-site within companies like The Invicta Press in Ashford, Kent or Zefxis Web Consultants in Thessaloniki, I decided to turn to freelancing.

Freelancing gave me the freedom to work on diverse projects while being fully present for my child. As a parent, freelancing wasn’t just a career choice—it was a lifeline that allowed me to nurture my family while pursuing my passion. Key projects during this time included:

Mind Diagnostics

A web and mobile tool for self-administered mental health assessments.

ExclusiveOne

An e-commerce marketplace for luxury products.

ClassTag

An edTech communication and management platform

Rhino Security Labs

A cybersecurity management dashboard

Spotio

A sales SaaS web app

My world changed when I lost my husband. Having a six year-old child to raise, I soon turned to my work for solace and purpose. Joining the team of Art of the Trek was a defining moment - a project that allowed me to dive deep into meaningful design while providing stability for my family.

This period taught me that design isn’t just about solving problems—it’s about building connections and rising stronger together.

Growth: Embracing the Future

Today, I’m refining my craft by exploring the intersection of psychology in user experience design, ambient design, and emerging technologies. Recent highlights include:

Psychology meets design

Launching an Instagram channel, Mind and Design, to share insights on the psychology behind seamless user experiences.

You can download my Psychology-first design map. A bite-sized information guide that shows the interrelated areas involved in user psychology.

AI projects

Designing for an AI-driven solution like Cloving, an AI pair-programmer, and playful B2C services like Sorry Not Sorry, an app for humorous phone calls.

Advanced UX practices

Conducting detailed UX audits to ensure digital products meet user needs and business goals.
